Medium 3D graphics, fulldome projection, archive integration

Challenge

The Montreux Jazz Archive contains a vast musical heritage. The task was to transform archive relationships into an immersive hemispheric experience that visitors could understand intuitively.

Solution

Kirell Benzi Studio created a 3D network visualization of 5,400 jazz, blues, and Latin artists connected through more than 30,800 links. Artists were clustered by community and connected to archival video material.

Outcome

The installation became part of EPFL ArtLab and demonstrated how cultural archive networks can become immersive, navigable public experiences.
