Client RTS / EPFL
Year 2025
Role AI search, interaction design, and spatial archive interface
Medium LLMs, semantic search, speech recognition, interactive mapping

Challenge

RTS and EPFL needed a way to make 200,000 hours of archived Swiss television content explorable. The archive had to become intuitive, spatial, and meaningful without reducing it to a search box.

Solution

The installation used speech recognition, language models, and semantic vector search to identify meaningful moments and organise clips into thematic clusters. Visitors could touch locations on a map and access relevant historical footage.

Outcome

The installation demonstrated a new model for archive access and cultural heritage exploration. It created a repeatable approach for transforming large video archives into interactive spatial experiences.
